Halloween Movies
to make you howl and growl

Best
1. “The Exorcist” (Linda Blair) – Classic film about a girl possessed by demons, portrayed by Blair, who pukes and speaks in mechanical tones from hell. A down-on-his luck, while identifiable, priest helps save her while mommy just plain freaks through the whole flick.

2. “The Shining” (Jack Nicholson) – Any movie where Nicholson plays a crazed murderer is bound to be good.

3. “Halloween” (Jamie Lee Curtis) – This is an especially scary movie, with 70s sound effects. Jamie Lee Curtis is an asset to the film, with the loudest movie scream ever.

4. “Child’s Play” (Brad Dourif) – A boy’s doll, voiced by Dourif, houses the reincarnated spirit of a killer.
Enough said.

5. “Shaun of the Dead” (Simon Pegg) – This movie proves that losers only have a place in the world when the common denominator of humanity is lowered significantly.

Worst
1. “I Still Know What You Did Last Summer” (Jennifer Love Hewitt) – The killer fisherman with the hook gets old so they bring in his son and Brandy. Yup, that oughta make the plot better.

2. “The Village” (Joaquin Phoenix) – The movie was just bad. Period.

3. “Van Helsing” (Hugh Jackman) – With cheesy effects, models as heroes, Count Chocula as the villain and futuristic weapons, this film makes League of Extraordinary Gentlemen look like The Godfather.

4. “The Brothers Grimm” (Matt Damon and Heath Ledger) – The first half of the movie has a horrible story line and by the second half, most have already fallen asleep and end up missing the whole point.

5. “Double, Double Toil and Trouble” (Mary Kate and Ashley Olson) – Those lovable Olsen twins create yet another monster of a movie.
