Senate has openings
The student Senate has four openings they are seeking to fill. They are: Allied Health Senator, Counseling and Advising Senator A, Student Life Senator B, And Student Support Senator.

The positions pay three credits the first term and six for every term after. See Paula Cline in the College Center to apply.

Lost and found at MHCC
There is a lost and found on campus. Students who have lost or found something should check at the College Center.

Night student reception
The winter term night student reception will be held Jan. 18 through Jan. 20 from 6:30 to 8:30 p..m. in the Social Sciences lounge, Room 2562. This event will include games, giveaways, food, drinks and music and is sponsored by the Student Activities Board.

Give blood, save lives
Pre-register in the College Center now to give blood at the next Red Cross Blood Drive, Tuesday, Jan. 18, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Town and Gown Room. For more information, contact Kris Ford, the health and wellness coordinator for the SAB, at 503-491-7642.

Library develops guide
The Mulnomah County Library Web site has a new resource called Branches and Byways which features unique places to go near the 17 library branches.

The guide focuses on free or inexpensive, lesser known places geared for people wanting to explore alone, with friends and with children.

Some of the places listed include parks, restaurants, shops, landmarks and public art that exemplifies the quirky, beautiful and unique.

Flag induction ceremony
The newest addition to the College Center’s flags representing all international students will be added in the flag ceremony Jan. 19 from noon to 1 p.m.
