“Open Mic” Night
“Open Mic” will be held Wednesday, Feb. 2, to help raise money for a tsunami relief fund.
The event is sponsored by the Student Activities Board. People may share their poetry, music and other forms of expression.

World-wide jazz
The “World Jazz at MHCC” concert is set for tonight at 8 p.m. in the MHCC Theater.
The concert will be headlined by Gabriel Alegria Un Rezo’s Afro-Peruvian Jazz Sextet, and includes performances by percussionist Otto Gygax, Connie Bierberach and other local Peruvian artists. The event intends to raise money for the MHCC Jazz Band’s February trip to Kaohsiung, Taiwan.
Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students.

Game rescheduled
The men’s and women’s basketball games Jan. 15 were postponed because of the weather. The games have been rescheduled for Wednesday, Feb. 2, with the women’s game at 5:30 p.m. and the men’s game at 7:30 p.m.
Orchestra concert
The orchestras of Walt Morey Middle School, Clackamas High School and MHCC will perform Monday, Jan. 24, at 7:30 p.m. in the College Theater. Tickets are $5 and the money is going to support the three groups.

Safari-themed Club Fair
The Club Fair will be in the College Center Jan. 25-27 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The theme this year is Safari.
Students can win up to $50 if they fill out a “passport.” Two winners will be chosen each day of the fair.
Each club will be represented at a table.
