Fourth annual women's history essay contest

The Women’s History Celebration Committee is sponsoring an essay contest titled,“Women’s History — so that every generation will know the stories.”
Choose one topic to write on:

1. What will make the ideal woman of the future?

2. Pick a woman from the past and a womannfrom the present and create a dialogue which illuminates an important issue for women.

3. Women and transformation.

Rules:

1. Essay contestants must be MHCC students, currently enrolled for winter term.

2. The essay must be five to seven pages double spaced following MLA format.

3. Include a cover sheet with the title of the essay, studnt’s name, address, and telephone number.

4. Please submit three copies of the essay and a computer disk containing the essay to the College Center, Attn: Paula Cline, Room 1050, by Feb. 16.

The three winners will receive $50 in cash. Winners will be announced at the Women’s History presentation Feb. 17. Members of MHCC’s literature faculty and social science faculty will judge the essays and select the winners.
