In the summer, the “out of order” sign taped on the 1300 block’s women’s bathroom was crisp, bright and freshly printed.

Today the sign is wrinkled, off-white and aged.

Don Wallace, facilities manager, explained why the bathroom has been out of commission this school year.

“The tile is damaged,” said Wallace. “We tried to get a tile contractor out to fix it, but we were unable to find anyone who was willing to work on such a small job.”

He added that the problem will soon be remedied, and the sign removed.

“We were able to find someone. I actually had the purchase order come across my desk [Monday]. The bathroom should be up and running in the next few weeks,” said Wallace.
