Quick News Library needs opinions about hours The MHCC library is interested in student opinions about library hours. Current hours are Monday to Thursday from 7:30 a.m. to 9 p.m., Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The library is conducting a survey and student opinions are welcomed. Visit the library for more information. Jazz festival to close parking lots Parking lot A will be closed May 6 for the Northwest Jazz Band Festival and again May 12 and 13 for the Vocal Jazz Festival. The performances will be open to the public. Seminar to understand racism continues The next Uniting to Understand Racism seminar will be Tuesday in the Town and Gown Room. The classes run from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. The goal of the series is to raise the level of awareness of the participants concerning racial discrimination. The remaining dates after Tuesday are May 2, May 9 and May 16. Cosmetology program has new alliance The MHCC Cosmetology Program has partnered with Image Designers College of Cosmetology. According to Larkin Franks, dean of business and computer applications, the number of students applying for the program has exceeded the space available.
