Historians' Roundtable scheduled MHCC history instructors will team up with a former Teamsters’ Union negotiator and labor historian to discuss major strikes in American history. Jim Barnes will meet with instructors Pat Casey and Liz Milliken Monday, May 1, from noon to 1 p.m. in the Town and Gown Room. 'Women Mentoring Women' in May The American Association of Women in Community Colleges (AAWCC) will present “Women Mentoring Women” in the month of May. Dean of Humanities Wendy Schissel presents on May 4. The events will be held in the Bob Scott Room, and coffee will be provided. Seminar to understasnd racism continues The next Uniting to Understand Racism seminar will be Tuesday in the Town and Gown Room. The classes run from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. The goal of the series is to raise the level of awareness of participants concerning racial discrimination. Cosmetology program has new alliance The MHCC Cosmetology Program has partnered with Image Designers College of Cosmetology. According to Larkin Franks, dean of business and computer applications, the number of students applying for the program has exceeded the space available. Latino Club to host dance in Vista Dining The Latino Club will host “Latin Rhythm Dance” Saturday, April 29, in the Vista Dining Center from 7 p.m. to 12 a.m. with a $5 door charge.
