Area high schools will be taking over the Visual Art Gallery here at MHCC for the annual High School Art Show.
The show will run April 6-27 in the Visual Art Gallery and a reception will be held for the students on April 16 from 6 p.m.-8 p.m.
Students from Centennial, Gresham, Sam Barlow, Parkrose, Reynold and Sandy High Schools will be participating in the event. Overall there are 79 pieces of artwork and 66 students.
“The high school teachers determine whether or not the schools will participate. They choose the students,” said Pat Barrett, the Visual Arts Gallery Coordinator.
Students will be judged according to their grade and there will be prizes awarded on April 16 at 7 p.m.
