The Saints softball team has been rained-out for the majority of their games since the season began in California on March 11.

With their first home game being rained-out as well, the March 29 doubleheader was rescheduled for Thursday, March 31 against the defending NWAACC champions Lower Columbia. The Saints lost the first game to the six-time NWAACC champions, 7-6 with right-hander Alexis Hadenfeld taking the loss.

In the second game, the team came charging back and overtook the Red Devils with a 6-3 win. Hadenfeld, who pitched the second game too, got the victory. In the second game of the doubleheader, both infielder Rachel Hill and left-handed pitcher Samantha Stockfleth hit their first homeruns of the season. The Saints finished with eight hits and three errors in the first game and eight hits and two errors in the second game.

The team was scheduled to play on April 1 against Pierce, April 2 against South Puget Sound, and April 5 against Grays Harbor, but all three games were rained-out. The Pierce game was rescheduled for April 3 but was also rained-out. The Grays Harbor game was also rescheduled for April 14. Neither the Pierce game or South Puget Sound game have been rescheduled yet.

The Saints have two home games this weekend including a doubleheader against Centralia today at 3 p.m., and a doubleheader against Chemeketa on Saturday beginning at 1 p.m.
Despite the lack of games played, the Saints are maintaining a 3-1 record in league play and a 5-3 record overall.
