Genesis honored with awards
Genesis has received an award in the June “Downbeat Magazine” the eigth time in 12 years. Genesis was one of two schools honored with the award, Mt San Antonio CC in Walnut, Calif. No four-year universities made the cut this year.

The group was also honored when IAJE (International Association for Jazz Education) put them on their Top Campus CD list for the fifth year in a row.

Several attempts were made Wednesday and Thursday to reach Dave Barduhn, music & jazz ensemble Director, but he did not return any phone calls.
