Diversity Fair will host speakers
The ASG Diversity Council will be hosting the 2005 Diversity Fair May 17. This event is co-sponsored by the Access and Diversity Committee and will include MHCC clubs. The event will be held in the Main Mall from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
There will be two guest speakers, Sherry Murphy from Clark Community College, and Doug Abbott, who will bring his Culture Based Learning Model. Murphy will speak at 9 a.m. and Abbott will speak at 3:30 p.m., both in the College Center, Room 1051.

Rho Theta plans presidential inauguration
Rho Theta is planning an inauguration party for the 2005-2006 ASG president and vice president. It will be held May 31 in the Town and Gown Room from noon to 1 p.m. Food, drinks and dessert will be provided for those attending. For more information, contact Amy Bohanon at 503-491-7020.
Free science demonstations by students
The Science Club will be holding their 6th annual Student Science Seminar May 20 at 3 p.m. in AC 1303. This event is free and open to the public, and will include demonstrations of scientific concepts by MHCC students. Japanese cooking lesson means dinner too
The MHCC Chapter of the American Association for Women (AAWCC) is sponsoring a Japanese cooking dinner/demonstration May 24 at 6 p.m. The cost is $20 and all proceeds will go to the Shelie Macias Memorial Scholarship Fund, and matched by an anonymous donor. Art exhibit decorates the College Center
The College Center Lounge is home to an art exhibit from Suzy Kitman titled “Doll Still Lifes” through May 27. Kitman’s work has also appeared in other exhibits throughout Oregon.
MHCC basketball players sign with universities
Three Mt. Hood basketball players signed on to play with universities next year including guard Jamal Cooke who recently signed with Southern Connecticut University, guard Gregg Barlow who signed with Pepperdine University, and forward and center Cory Lowe who decided to play with Northern Colorado University.
