MHCC computers go on sale next week

Mt. Hood Community College is selling about 40 Intel-based computers Monday.

According to Bill Snyder, director of computer and telecommunication services, some of the computers have a Pentium III 933 Mhz processor. All of the computers will have 128 MB of RAM and 10 GB of hard drive; with a CD-ROM and 3 1/2 inch floppy, two USB 1.0 ports, keyboard mouse, and a 17-inch CRT monitor.

All of the systems are in working condition and have Windows installed. The units are being sold for $50, with a limit of two per customer. Mt. Hood is also selling 50 working 17-inch CRT monitors for $15 without a limit.

The computers will be sold in the Computer Support Conference Room, Room AC1511. Snyder said they are being sold starting Monday from 8 a.m. to noon. Only cash, checks, and Visa cards will be accepted and there is a $20 fine for returned checks. For more information, call (503) 491-6066.
