Immigration debate hits home
Immigration legislation has been in the forefront of the news in recent weeks. Rallies, demonstrations and boycotts have taken place in Portland and throughout the United States. The MHCC community has been affected by the controversy and has responded.

HR 4437, also known as the Border Protection, Antiterrorism, and Illegal Immigration Control Act of 2005, requires many things, including fingerprinting, building at least two layers of fencing at five specific areas on the U.S./Mexico border, and considering the feasibility of building a fence on the U.S./Canada border. This bill has been passed in the House, and is now in the Senate.
