Registration for fall term continues through Oct. 2

Students interested in adding or switching classes at MHCC or that are interested in starting college can still register for fall term.

It is possible to register or add classes until the second week of instruction with the instructor’s permission.

This means that the last day to add a course for a 12-week session is Friday, Oct. 2; the last day to add a course in a five-week session in thee first half of the term is Sept. 28; and the last day to register for a course in a five-week session in the second half of the term is Nov. 2.

Signature-add slips are available in the Student Services Center so an instructor can give permission for students to add or drop a course.

To get the instructors signature, potential students are advised to attend the class they intend to register for and get the instructor signature before or after class.

Instructors will also be available for students during their office hours or you can reach instructors by phone or e-mail. A faculty contact list is available on the MHCC website.

Student are responsible for getting this to the admissions, registration and records office in the Student Services Center to officially add the class.

The MHCC website cautions students to be aware that registering for classes after instruction has started is detrimental to their learning. A student entering the course late will be held responsible for all materials previously covered.

If it turns out that the course is not what you expected, it is still possible to drop the course. In fact, it is possible to drop an individual course or change grading status until Nov. 4.

If it turns out that college is harder than expected, or too easy, it is possible to totally withdraw from college until Dec. 4.

For more information about registering, contact the admissions, registrations and record office at 503-491-7393.
