Cosmetology student dies from cancer

Kayla Krska, a cosmetology student, died Monday, though her fellow classmates will not forget her.
“This week we’ve all been in a daze,” said Caity Miller, a fellow cosmetology student and Image Makers president.
Krska was 19 years old when she died of cancer and, according to Miller, her fellow students were shocked to hear the news.
However, they are planning an auction to raise funds for Krska’s family.
According to Miller, the family still has medical expenses.

“This time we want it to be huge,” Miller said.
Though the auction still needs a set date, Miller said they are already starting to look for items to raise money.
“We want it to be a commemorative event,” Miller said, adding, “We’re asking from donations from tons of local companies.”
A celebration of life will be held Saturday in the Clackamas High School Auditorium at 11 a.m.
“Kayla wouldn’t want anything sad,” Miller said. And when it comes to dealing with the loss, Miller said “Everyone’s just trying to get through the day everyday.”
