Student Life director takes new post
The Advocate
Robert Cox, former director of student life at Mt Hood, was recently given the new title of dean of student services.
The new title is part of a move to place a consistent leadership position in the Department of Student Success and Enrollment Management, which has had numerous interim vice presidents over the last year. According to Cox, he will probably hold the position until a permanent vice president can be put into place.
As for what Cox hopes to do with this position, he sees it as a chance to “collaboratively create a customer service standard, where there hasn’t been one before, and give 360-degree integration for all student services.”
In other words, he said he hopes to streamline student services so that redundancies are removed and the entire experience is much easier for students to approach.
The college’s one-stop Student Services Center seeks to provide a user-friendly enrollment process both online and face-to-face. Call 503-491-7317 for information.
