This week in entertainment
- Appetite for Deception, a Guns N’ Roses tribute band from the Northwest, is performing April 25 at Dante’s. Tickets are general admission and cost $10. The show is 21 and over.
- The Visual Arts Gallery will feature the exhibit Stephen Mickey and the Soulbuds from May 1 through 22. A reception will take place May 1 from 6:30-9 p.m. Blues and folk music during the reception will be provided by Kevin Shay Johnson.
- The MHCC ASTA (American String Teachers Association) is hosting its Concerto Competition April 25 and 26. The winner of the competition will get to play with the MHCC Orchestra later in the year. For more information contact MHCC orchestra director Marshall Tuttle.
- The MHCC Planetarium Sky Theater will present “Hubble’s Greatest Hits” May 4 with shows at 7 p.m. and 8 p.m. Admission is $1. For more information, contact Planetarium Director Doug McCarty at 503-491-7297.
