Golf tournament raises funds
The Advocate
The men’s basketball team raised $2,500 in a golf tournament fundraiser Aug. 14 at Gresham Golf Course.
According to sophomore forward Garrett Strasburg, the event was held to raise money for the teams travel expenses throughout the season as well as money for warm-ups and other needs through the season.
Strasburg said there was a great turnout for the tournament in which they had 10 groups of four, including local celebrities like Fred Jones and Mike Rice.
