Fallball Season is over
The MHCC baseball team played well and had good improvements throughout the fallball season, according to Head Coach Bryan Donohue.
Infielder Tom Jaworski said, “This team is young and is doing well and we are growing. We’re working hard and I am looking forward to spring,”
Donohue said the team has potential for next spring. He said the baseball team worked hard and covered lots of plays and showed early improvements.
“Now that fallball is over, from now until Christmas break the players will start a training program. This program is once a week for two hours a week with three other teammates,” said Donohue.
The team started with 50 candidates but now has 26 players.
During the fallball season, Donohue was not concerned about his players catching the H1N1 influenza. “If my players are sick or aren’t feeling well, they have the right to take a day off and show up when they are feeling better,” he said.
The last five weeks were good for the team, especially the last game, according to Donohue, which was a doubleheader against Baseball Northwest Oct. 11. Donohue said the players gave it their best and showed a lot of potential.
